Macy’s – a Yellowpages.com Pest Control Company Ad
This YellowPages.com video features real Macy’s employees, not actors. Note that — as in virtually all of my promo videos — I show them actually doing their jobs, not just talking about them. Admittedly, the fact that Macy’s CEO Dean Burnside is exceptionally well-spoken helps this video look good, but even a less-articulate but 100% sincere owner or manager (like you) is a better spokesperson for your business than the world’s smoothest voiceover talent, especially when you have me coaching you so that you look and sound your best on camera.
I really like this video. It shows what a Macy’s technician actually does when he comes to your home or business, gives you concrete reasons to use their service, and has a strong close. The music also works well to reinforce the company’s personality. I work hard to find appropriate music, because one style does not fit all businesses.
This video will never win an award. It’s a sales tool, not a work of art. Sure, it’s well-shot, paced nicely, and has a few interesting transitions, but its purpose is to tell you about Macy’s and why you should use their services, not to show off my (meager) talents.
